This tragic tale of love, set in Paris and the French countryside, will open the 2009 season, with conductor Frédéric Chaslin making his Santa Fe Opera debut. Internationally renowned soprano Natalie Dessay (pictured here) will play composer Giuseppe Verdi’s protagonist, Violetta.

DATES: July 3, 8, 11, 17, and 24; August 4, 11, 17, 22, 26, and 29
