Music to the Eyes
Pieter Estersohn

Music to the Eyes

Why We Love It:

  • Intricate music wallpaper finds the perfect home in a room with a simple color scheme.
  • The eglomise mirrored cabinets up the glam factor.
  • Instead of using it as one big piece, an antique mirror was made into two, giving the room a bit of tasteful symmetry that highlights a beautiful window.
  • A mosaic tile design on the limestone floor and faux candle sconces, and a crystal chandelier provide decorative accents that tie the room together.
  • A cane-back chair gives an unexpected punch to the room with a zebra upholstered seat.
Designer: Mary Anne Smiley and homeowner Peggy Barry, Mary Anne Smiley, 214/522-0705.

From the May/June 2006 issue of Southern Accents.
