What are some tired design trends?
What’s going out of use is to do rooms in a monochromatic way. People are starting to find that color can be quite exciting, and that not every room has to be beige and colorless. You can say you can live in a beige room and be comfortable. But at the same time, I think it depends on how it’s used. And I think that the overexposure of these elements, which only read very monochromatic, is what is going out of style.

What flowers or greenery do you like to use in your designs?
White flowers. No fakes.

Who is your favorite contemporary artist?
Ross Bleckner. I also like the work of Manolo Valdés.

What are some of the cities or stores that inspire you?
I have a place in Paris, so I am usually there three times a year, and I visit all the stores in areas where I know I can find inspiration from the new things that they are bringing in. It doesn’t have to be new designs―it could be just things from different cultures, different time periods. But there are other places in terms of architecture―Budapest and Prague are wonderful. I also go to Sweden maybe three times a year.
