"There is something so easy about marine blue. It's dark without being depressing. It has so many applications that it just
works." -- T. Keller Donovan, Miami and New York designer

• This deep blue was once thought of only as an accent color, but today designers are using it on the walls and to upholster furniture.
• The crisp white button-down and navy blazer will always be a fashion hit, so why not follow suit at home? Pair deep blue with white around the house for a smart, sophisticated look.
• A favorite among china companies, blue can make an impact in your table arrangement with patterns in varying shades. A white linen tablecloth and bright flowers are the perfect accessories for the setting.
• Men love blue. Redecorate a room in blue or add accents of the color throughout the house and hear compliments instead of complaints.
• The color looks great paired with gold, neutrals, pale shades of yellow, reds, purples, deeper greens, and other blues. If the walls are blue, however, counteract the dark hue with lighter flooring, such as sisal, marble, or tile.
• Lacquered marine blue walls work well in a library or dining room. The high sheen paired with a superwhite ceiling and trim lets light bounce around the room, giving it a clean, sleek look.
