Cloister Tibetan carpet of wool and silk by Tufenkian

We’re enchanted by the strong geometrics of this design, a contemporary take on traditional cathedral architecture. Let the rug take center stage by pairing it with simple accessories and warm earth tones, says Nicole Costello, manager of Tufenkian’s New York showroom, and keep furniture lines more linear than circular to avoid directly matching the design’s circular flow. “I would use different shades of greens in sateen or silk as accents,” she adds. “Silver and steel accessories would pull out the silver shading in the rug. Brazilian woods and glass tabletops would also work beautifully around this rug.”
