Choose yellow upholstery with caution.

That quartet of club chairs may look great on the showroom floor but overwhelming in your home. “Yellow upholstery is tricky. It’s the same as painting a room yellow -- it can have a big reverb,” Jayne says. “I once did a room with two yellow sofas. It now has one.”
