Tudor Tutorial
Evoking traditional construction techniques of the Tudor period, Boerder designed hammer-beam trusses along the ceiling and
a Gothic-inspired baluster for the railing. “Rather than panel the entire stair hall, designer Joe Minton covered the walls
with a hand-painted burlap, which lightens it a great deal and keeps the space from being overly dark and aggressive,” says
the architect.
