| Painted cabinets in the Pratt & Lambert colors Chalk and Gray Mist are everlasting, and over the years, you can always change the color in other areas of the kitchen. Cypress is excellent to stain. Islands look superb in the dark, rich colors you can creat with cypress. Walnut is a fun wood to work with. Leave it natural and seal it. It can even be contemporary with its defined lines and tight grains. It looks refined with white marble and stainless steel. Mahogany will forever have that old feel of your grandfather's study. It is a marvelous wood with yellow and gold tones and keeps a traditional kitchen looking good.
