Fiona Says: "I love grass cloth in a teenager's room or a home office because it is very forgiving when it comes to tacking up posters, awards, memos, and mementos. The pin marks don't show. Textured wallpapers can also be more forgiving on walls that are in less than perfect condition—they can hide a wealth of sins."

In this room: "The trim is painted a rich caramel to quietly disappear into the grass cloth wallpaper," says designer Elaine Griffin.
