Belle of the Ball
These 'Wildcat' Oncidium orchids are dressed for a ball, and isn't the result spectacular? I used a wooden container large enough to accommodate all my material, lined it with foil, and used blocks of floral foam to lift the plants to their proper heights. Each plant has its own saucer to catch drips. I worked the plants in and included a tall glass cylinder of water within the wooden container to hold the material. A bed of moss completes the look. The gigantic fern frond "monkey's tail" really adds to the effect.
