West Palm Beach's tony shopping enclave, the South Dixie Highway, is a stretch of 35 shops, two restaurants, a tearoom and a salon. Less than a mile long, "Antiques Row," as it is called by designers, is an antiques shopper's' paradise. "There are enough 17th-century pieces on this strip for Europe to be empty," says Palm Beach designer Leta Foster. She shares a few of her favorites.

The merchandise here changes from month to month, but owner Tanya Artinian tends to stock simple pieces with distinct profiles. "I go here if I'm looking for something fun," explains Foster. "They have pieces that I don't feel bad about painting or re-covering."
